Railway routes:
- E-59: Szczecin - Stargard Szczeciński - Krzyż - Poznań and further south or east, it is a two-rail route with the capacity of 120 pairs of trains per day and the maximum permissible load of 2.4 thousand tons, an important railway transport junction is Poznań, where 9 railway routes converge, e.g. to Warsaw, Kunowice, Wrocław, Inowrocław, Gdynia, Zebrzydowice, Cieszyn and Chałupki, - CE-59: Szczecin - Kostrzyn - Zielona Góra - Wrocław and further south or east o with the capacity of 100 pairs of trains per day and the maximum permissible load of 2.4 thousand tons; it is the so called Odra River or Border Route with the most important railway junction in Wrocław, from where the lines go towards Opole, Międzylesie, Świdnica, Wałbrzych, Poznań and Kluczbork. Port Police is situated on the left bank of the Policki Channel and, although it does not have access to the open sea, it is connected to it with a water route passing through the estuary of the Odra River, Zalew Szczeciński, the Piastowski Channel and the Świna River.Port Police is connected to the sea with a water route (water lane) with the depth of 10.5 m Świnoujście - Szczecin, allowing for the movement of ships with the length of 160 m and the draught of 9.15 m or the length of 206 m and the draught of 8.15 m, which corresponds to a fully loaded bulk carrier with deadweight capacity of 16 - 18.000 tons or a loaded bulk carrier with deadweight capacity of about 40.000 tons. Port Police also has convenient connections to the network of inland water routes. Now, the Odra - Havel Channel and the HoFriWa (Hohensaaten-Friedrichsthaler Wasserstrasse) provide the inland access to the main European system of water routes (up to Holland and Switzerland) complying with the standards of water route of class IV, and target class Vb. Detailed analysis included in the study of the Maritime University again indicated that the Sea Port in Police is characterized by an all-year water access for the ships with maximum permissible draught. There are no limits connected with water levels, tides, or ice conditions. In order to improve the transport in the region of Police and the northern districts of Szczecin, it is planned to built the western ring road of the city of Szczecin and the creation of the crossing Police - Święta.
